O Beautiful End is a single movement choral piece for SATB choir. I was drawn to this text because of its peaceful and optimistic depiction of death. Unlike many other authors, Tagore paints the end of life as a moment of completeness and makes a smooth transition into the afterlife. In the writing of these words, Tagore not only provides this pleasant image of the end, but also guidance on how to live one's life so that they may too also arrive at death with the same openness. The paintings in this video were painted by Tagore himself.
